Custom orders/LEAD TIMES


All orders we process are custom to your requested size, shape, and finish. To ensure your completion date is met, we must begin crafting your furniture piece within a day or two from your order being placed. Please be certain when you place your order. Orders are non-refundable. Finish and size changes are welcome quickly after your order has been placed but unfortunately can't be guaranteed. If there is anything that you don’t see that you would like in your home please contact us at Southern.Manor.Co@gmail.com and we will be happy to work with you on creating your custom piece! All custom furniture orders have a lead time of approximately 2 to 3 months depending on the type of order. Customer service can advise on an approximate time for a specific order. Southern Manor will do its best to meet lead times, although factors outside our control such as humidity and weather make it impossible for us to guarantee any specific due date. Cancellations are not accepted on the basis of an over-due lead time. 

SHIPPING

WE OFFER TWO DIFFERENT DELIVERY OPTIONS BASED ON YOUR LOCATION.

CURBSIDE FREIGHT SHIPPING DETAILS: 

We offer curbside shipping to all 48 contiguous states. Most furniture is shipped within approx. 10-12 weeks of ordering. You will be notified by our team as soon as your furniture leaves our shop. Furniture is typically in transit for 3 to 7 business days. Once the furniture arrives at the shipping terminal nearest to your home, you will be contacted by the freight company to schedule a delivery window. 

Please note that sometimes these delivery time windows can span over several hours, so please be prepared to accept your shipment at any point in the time window given. All 3rd party freight deliveries occur during normal business hours only.  If you are not able to accept your shipment within a reasonable amount of time (as defined by the freight company), the freight company may be required to charge storage fees. 

To save you money, your delivery will be curbside. This means you will need to bring the furniture inside your home, uncrate/unpack it, and assemble it (If your pieces come unassembled). Keep in mind that our solid hardwood furniture is often quite heavy and you will almost certainly need help to bring your custom furniture inside from the curb. If the length of your table exceeds 10 feet, please be prepared to help the delivery driver offload your shipment. 

It is your responsibility to inspect your new furniture thoroughly and completely for any damage BEFORE signing for the package(s). In the very rare event that your furniture does arrive damaged, please note any damage on the delivery slip before signing for your furniture. In the unlikely event that your furniture is damaged in transit by the 3rd party freight-liner, Iron By Iron Woodworks will ship you replacement furniture at no additional cost to you by filing a claim with the shipping company, but we can only do that if you've noted damage on the delivery slip before signing for the furniture. Once you sign the delivery slip, Iron By Iron Woodworks can assume no responsibility for damage found after delivery, so fully inspecting your furniture upon delivery is extremely important.

Please note: Furniture cannot be refused upon delivery if it does not fit through an entryway. It is your responsibility to ensure the furniture you order can fit in your home.

Please note: Because of increased freight costs, there will be an additional surcharge of $150.00 per order for third party freight shipped to New York City. When ordering online, your total will not reflect this additional fee. We will reach out to you directly when your online order has been processed.

SOUTHERN MANOR CO INSIDE LOCAL DELIVERY 

If you live in South Carolina , you'll see an option for Inside Local Delivery at checkout. We offer inside delivery through a third party delivery company. Inside Local deliveries occur approx. 10-12 weeks from your order date. The week before your scheduled delivery, our team will reach out to you with your exact delivery date for when you can expect our third party delivery team to arrive at your home with your furniture. The delivery company will give you a call the day before your delivery with your timeframe. Because your delivery date and time is scheduled based on the relative locations of the dozens of homes on the same schedule, that date and time cannot be changed or dictated.

Please be prepared to inspect and sign for your furniture upon delivery. Local Inside Deliveries includes inside placement on the ground floor only. If your residence is not on the ground floor, your delivery will be curbside or into a ground floor space of your choice.

Certain items, such as porch swings, book shelves, dressers and other items that need to be secured to the wall/ceiling will be the responsibility of the customer. Delivery does not include installation. 

It is your responsibility to ensure the furniture you order can fit through your threshold. Furniture cannot be refused upon delivery if it does not fit through an entryway.

HOLDING & STORING YOUR FURNITURE

We will be reaching out to you before we start production on your custom furniture to confirm 1) the details of the order are correct and 2) you are ready to receive your custom furniture. This is your opportunity to delay production if you are not ready to receive your furniture. If we have received confirmation from you, and we finish your furniture and are ready to deliver it, we cannot hold or store your furniture under any circumstances. 

 

cancellations & returns

Because each piece from Southern Manor is custom built and/or finished to order and therefore is not re-sellable by Southern Manor, we do not offer cancellations or refunds. Our products are built from solid kiln dried wood that is distressed and has a reclaimed look. The entire crafting process is by hand. Our finishes are applied by brush. Any characteristics of handmade furniture should not be considered defects.

Southern Manor does not accept returns or cancellations on any order.  Orders are non-refundable.

deliveries

It is your responsibility to ensure that any items you order will fit into your space. Southern Manor will not be responsible if an item does not fit. Please inspect your order thoroughly prior to signing any delivery documents; in the event damages are incurred during the delivery, it is imperative that you note any and all damages at the time of delivery with the carrier as it is your responsibility to file a claim. We will help anyway we can.

color & grain variation

Due to the characteristics of wood, fabrics and other materials, there will be variations in finishes and grains. Sometimes a sample may appear slightly different than your actual production piece. Additionally, computer monitors display colors in photo images slightly differently, depending on a wide variety of different settings and actual monitors. Therefore a specific product image you see on your computer monitor, may be a different shade to the actual piece.

Thank you for coming to take a look at our website! We hand make and sell rustic, distressed furniture, cabinetry and home decor. Please expect knots, cracks, dents, dings, marks, and discolorations. All of our pieces are handmade one at a time from start to finish. We design and build each piece and then ship directly to you. Please keep in mind that no two pieces are alike and colors and finishes will vary from piece to piece. We love doing what we do and it shows in each piece of work.
